We have a lot of love for Liverpool here at HS. We had Ex Easter Island Head at Profound Sound festival a couple of years back and thats a fantastic set of lads, from a really vibrant scene. After last year's incredible Land Trance album Andrew PM Hunt steps it up yet again with a new album under his Dialect project header but for the now legendary NYC avant-garde label RVNG Intl and we couldnt be more thrilled.
This is a truly joyous record. Growing out of a set of works for Immix Ensemble, Hunt has been busy meticulously gathering organic and synthesised textures to create some of the most wondrous collages; ASMR-intimate vocals trigger and intertwine with piano, strings and bass parts that make the body tingle. It sounds like he had a lot of fun making this record, it's an adventure to wander around in. Records like this can often feel overtly academic, but this record revels in warmth, glistening strings, soft oscillation, wind, brass and dreamy pianos - massively recommended!
