Label Upset The Rhythm
Glasgow DIY guru Michael Kasparis returns with album number two, and this time for London powerhouse Upset The Rhythm. Despite the beautiful production from Free Love/Happy Meals Lewis Cook, this is still on the Lo-Fi spectrum, but with a rich texture and pleasing simplicity to composition. We could chuck about 'sounds like' comparisons like early Depeche Mode, Suicide, Sally Dige or Molly Nilsson but all that lazily means is that this is excellent, raw synth pop. One of Britain's gems!!
