We're honoured to be receiving stock of Carl Stone's newest set, seemingly written and recorded in the period that has seen a huge surge of interest and acclaim in his stunning back catalogue presented on 2LP vinyl set or CD by Unseen Worlds.
Stone expands on his impeccable use of MAX programming to include the Octatrack hardware sampler. Those that know, realise this ain't no joke. Stone explores his pan-global palette so much further on this set, with collaboration from Japanese vocalist Akaihirume elevating the work to ethereal and yearning chamber music that carries the soul far, far above the mountains the album title suggests. This is a record that playfully mixes utopian technological textures with sublime antiquity. Like much of his previous work, the music is at once looking back over centuries of aural convention whilst meditating on our future.
